The Challenge
The WCU Spring Literary Festival reimagines its visual identity each year based on a selected piece of artwork. For this year’s festival, a painting by a faculty member was chosen, and the branding needed to translate that artwork into a cohesive system that could live across a wide range of printed & digital materials.
The Solution
I developed a visual system inspired by the painting’s sky imagery and the analog nature of typewriters. These elements were applied across posters, postcards, bookmarks, and other festival materials, resulting in a cohesive identity that carried across every format.
