The Challenge
Founded in 1986, TJ Ribs is a long-standing Baton Rouge staple known for its Louisiana comfort food and sports bar atmosphere. As the brand set new business growth goals, its identity needed a refresh to reflect this new chapter, without losing the history and recognition that made TJ Ribs a local favorite.

The Solution
I focused on keeping the most recognizable elements in place while building a stronger supporting system around them. The original TJ script from the 1980s branding was reintroduced and paired with a bold, shaded typeface to support the brand’s sports-driven side. BBQ-inspired gingham, Louisiana diamond motifs, and a flying pig illustration add a sense of lagniappe, a Louisiana term meaning a little something extra.
